ABOUT US Today, our market (upper mid-market & enterprise companies, from 500 employees to fortune 500 companies) is vastly underserved when it comes to their procurement processes. These companies struggle with outdated and old fashioned tools, dragged down by decades of tech legacy that create more problems than they solve in the day-to-day work of their employees. Our goal is to streamline purchase processes for employees while giving finance teams the right level of control, visibility, and reporting. Through automations, integrations, and AI, we simplify workflows across finance teams, freeing them up to focus on more strategic work. The journey started mid-2023 with Marc-Antoine, Romain, and Estelle, former C-levels & tech lead from fintech unicorns (Qonto, Swile, Highland). Since then, we have raised 2 funding rounds (€5M pre-seed and €20M Series A) with tier-1 investors, built a team of 65+ people, and grown to 100+ customers across 25+ countries (EMEA and US). We are now preparing our next acceleration phase, and are looking for smart, execution-driven people with a strong focus on excellence and a desire to scale as a team. What you will do Help building the whole product and the underlying tech, hand-in-hand with a team of ~25 senior engineers. BACKEND CHALLENGES - Develop and share a strong understanding of procurement and Source-to-Pay processes in enterprise companies, both within your team and across engineering. - Work closely with frontend engineers and product designers to inform/refine/validate design concepts. - Help with the architecture decisions to ensure we build a robust and scalable product while maintaining a great pace of delivery. - Design efficient, resumable and auditable sync jobs for ERP integrations — ensuring reliable data flow, performance at scale, and clear traceability. - Implement audit logs across the application, capturing events in MongoDB and implementing smart processing. - Rationalize the usage of queue brokers and migrate heavy background jobs to dedicated workers to improve reliability, scalability, and performance. - Contribute to the team continuous improvement with new ideas, processes and tools. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES: - You have 6+ years of experience in software engineering and have developed strong programming skills (e.g. Java Spring Boot, or Kotlin / Scala / C# / Ruby / Go / Python). - You are fluent in English - it is our business language. - You are proactive, able to prioritize, and willing to thrive in our rapidly growing startup environment. - You pay close attention to details, are an excellent listener, and a valuable team member. - You understand backend systems (database, authentication, API & 3rd-party integrations, security, performance) and have experience in both micro-services architectures and queue management systems - You are rigorous about best practices (e.g. technical design, testing, code reviews, documentation & maintenance). - You embrace AI tooling (e.g. Claude, Cursor, Copilot) as part of your daily workflow and continuously explore how to integrate it into your engineering practice to boost productivity and quality MINDSET - You like solving problems and making complex things simple. - You have a product mindset, always thinking about the user experience and delivering value. - You are curious and open-minded, (almost) language agnostic and non-dogmatic. - You know how to write quality code, how to code efficiently, how to make right trade-offs. - You always want to keep learning and you are comfortable with confronting ideas. - You enjoy the cadence and want to bring the best of yourself within an early-staged startup. - You are a good team-player and want to share good vibes with smart and caring co-workers.
